Why Biblical Times?

I wanted my story to take place around the events of these times. I also wanted to go to places that I've always wanted to see. I also didn't want to offend anyone about any artistic license I took to make my story work. In short I had to make clear that this is not a text book this is an adventure fantasy book. If it sparked interest in someone to enjoy the book and go out and learn the factual history then I reached my goal and I'm happy.
