I knew I wanted to write a historical fiction story so I researched a lot of different periods. After a lot of research, I was reading a passage in the bible Genesis 6:4 that said that these were the times of Giants and heroes and legends of old, and I realized a few things at that point. I said to myself thousands of years passed at this time and there were not a lot of stories at this time, Genesis is very short so this would be a good time period to be in. Secondly, I was surprised to read words like Heroes, Legends, and Giants in the bible so I realized that I could play both sides of the reality in that I could write about a Giant and it would seem to be fantasy adventure, yet in reality it’s in the bible, and scientist found the skull bones of people that were Giants. So, if you knew nothing about the bible you could enjoy it as an adventure but if you did know about it then it would be as true to what was written with the exception of a few artistic creative licenses, but for the most part I really wouldn’t change anything that happened at that time, my story would just be happening around these events. So, everything started out of that passage. #timeofthetestament
